One room, 450 women’s stories

Storytelling is top-tier magic. I consider myself a storyteller and I’m surrounded by storytellers every day. Plop me in the middle of a room full of them and I’m one happy soul.

That’s exactly what Tuesday was for me. I was in a room with 450 storytellers at a daylong women’s conference. My friend Molly Grantham founded the Bet On Yourself Summit, and I managed her social media for the day to help bring the event to life online. (Running social for a powerhouse woman and friend to support her personal brand? Yes please.) Tap through this Instagram Stories highlight and you’ll see the power of that room and what I was capturing that day.

One moment that stuck with me was Milan Harris’ story. She’s the founder of Milano Di Rouge and has built an eight-figure business from the ground up.

She opened with this:

“I started out of the trunk of my car. I started with two sweatshirts. I wore one and I sold one. And today we’ve sold over $100 million.”

Let me tell you, everyone in that room was leaning in.

That’s the power of story. It captivates. It connects. It communicates value in a way a resume never could.

And it’s exactly what this article from Rolling Stone drives home.

The Future Belongs to Storytellers: Why Your Personal Brand Matters

Your story isn’t just something to tell, it’s something to shape and something that can shape your future.

BLUESKY: “The highest-priority accounts right now are government officials, news organizations and journalists, and celebrities.”

BLUESKY: Not just for marketers, this is a good read for anyone interested in the platform.

LINKEDIN: I LOVE where this could go. So strategic on LinkedIn’s part.

LINKEDIN: If you’ve had trouble getting verified because you don’t use your legal name on your profile, there’s now a solution.

LINKEDIN: I love a visual of social video safe zones.

META: Have you tried Edits? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

META: They’re trying to improve the Feed.

META: Warning, this is meaty as it’s a deep dive into how Meta handles privacy.

THREADS: Adam Mosseri announced 4 updates to Threads.

THREADS: As much as users typically don’t like ads on a platform, it is a sign that the platform is “healthy” enough to sustain advertisers. The key takeaway for anyone reading this is that Threads is here to stay as Meta has deemed it viable enough to offer advertisers opportunities and Meta will continue to improve its growing product because it wants to not only satisfy their users, they now need to satisfy advertisers who are paying to be on their platform.

NEXT STEPS WITH ME: Build Your Power Presence

After more than 10 years of building my own personal brand and helping corporate leaders and public figures do the same, I’ve seen one big roadblock stop just about everyone:

“What should I post?!”

It’s the question I get asked the most. And it’s the one thing that keeps so many smart, talented professionals from showing up online the way they want to – with confidence, clarity, and consistency.

So I decided it’s time to do something about it.

I’m launching a brand new group experience just for passionate women and underrepresented voices who are ready to own their voice, grow their visibility, and finally get the recognition they deserve, especially on LinkedIn and beyond.

Whether you’re leading a team, launching something new, or simply ready to step into a bigger version of yourself, this is for you.

You’ll get coaching, community, personalized guidance from me (I’ve personally crafted tens of thousands of social media posts over the last 15 years so yes, I can help you figure out exactly what to say) and all the support you need to build a personal brand that actually feels like you.

It’ll be small and intimate, probably limited to around 10 people, and it’s launching soon.
