Promise me

Can you promise me that if you ever feel that spark, that itch, that voice deep in your gut telling you to share something within you, you will find a way to let it out?

In our professional lives, we spend years in school, earning degrees, gaining certifications, and mastering our craft. We invest (time and money) so much into becoming great at what we do. To keep all that knowledge to yourself is a disservice to all of us. We need your voice. We need to hear what you know.

Promise me you will find a way to share it. For me, it’s been through building a personal brand and sharing my insights on using social media to connect, amplify, and educate, both online and in person.

Find your own way to share. Please.

Thanks to these beautiful humans for coming to my Elevate Your LinkedIn class last week and for their commitment to building a personal brand online. We’re all going to be better for it.

CONTENT: I love the idea of “visionary content.”

INSTAGRAM: The music sticker is fun.

INSTAGRAM: You might start seeing this soon.

INSTAGRAM: Have you noticed higher views on your Reels recently? This may be why.

INSTAGRAM: This gets a bit in the weeds, but it’s important if you debate whether to post longer videos or not.

LINKEDIN: Have you noticed the update to the job change announcements? It looks MUCH better.

LINKEDIN: So happy about this! While I don’t see the email metrics yet in my LinkedIn Newsletter analytics, I’m anxiously awaiting the ability to see the open rate.

LINKEDIN: Analytics for your comments!

META: We’ve all been waiting for the Community Notes feature to actually come to fruition given how much the initial announcement of Meta’s change to their fact-checking process rocked the social media world. As far as timing goes, this page says “we’ll be phasing them in over the next few months.”

SUBSTACK: Substack wants more TikTok creators to move to their platform.

TIKTOK: Very interesting. I haven’t seen a study like this before.

YOUTUBE: Repurpose your TikToks and Reels onto Shorts.

YOUTUBE: Wednesdays at 4 pm.
